The BELGIAN COMIC STRIP CENTER
Open since the 6th October 1989, the Belgian Comic Strip Center celebrates this year its 2Oth birthday. Counting over 260 000 visitors per year, the museum has a double objective : to promote the comic strip as a valuable cultural medium and maintaining the architectural masterpiece.
Located in the heart of Brussels in a majestic Art Nouveau temple (in Waucquez Warehouse – Horta architecture 1906), the BCSC wants to make its visitors travel through time by drawing the story of European comics: from his glorious origin to its most recent development.
With 4200 m² of permanent ( Victor Horta museum; the birth of a comic strip...) and temporary ( dedicated to an artist, a movement or a theme) exhibitions, the museum has become a references recognized all over the comic planet.
The Comic Strip Center also provides services like guided tours, birthday parties, hire of venue, and a lot of animation inside the museum.
